About Renee
I’m Renee, a Canadian cruise-focused travel advisor with Click The Mouse Travel, based in Newmarket, Ontario. I love helping families and the young-at-heart find the cruise that feels like their vacation, not simply the one with the lowest price.
Disney Cruise Line is at the heart of my cruising expertise. I’ve sailed with Disney and have a particular love for Disney’s Alaska itineraries - it is my favourite place to cruise. I love helping cruisers experience the incredible scenery, wildlife and adventure of Alaska while enjoying the service, storytelling and family-friendly magic that make Disney Cruise Line so special.
I also specialize in Royal Caribbean, from helping first-time cruisers choose the right ship to planning specialty and group sailings. And when the cruise itself is built around something extraordinary, that's where my passion really kicks in.
Solar eclipse cruises are one of those passions. I planned and sailed with my own group on a cruise built around the 2026 solar eclipse, giving me firsthand experience with the unique challenges of experiencing an astronomical event from a moving ship.
Now I'm helping travelers plan for the August 2027 total solar eclipse aboard Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas, which will sail into the path of totality for just under five minutes of total darkness. If you're considering an eclipse cruise, don't just ask, “Where will the ship be?” Ask whether the itinerary, timing, viewing strategy and expectations actually make sense. That's where experience matters.
Dreaming of a Disney cruise to Alaska? Or perhaps a Royal Caribbean adventure packed with thrills in the Caribbean? Whichever you choose, I'll help you put the pieces together and make the most of your time and investment
And yes, I still love Disney and Universal parks! My extensive experience planning Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris and Universal Orlando vacations are sure to make your thrill-seeking dreams come true.
Whether you're looking for a parks vacation or an adventure on the high seas, you've found me—so let's get started!
What do clients say about Renee?
Real reviews from families Renee has helped plan.
"I wanted to write to personally thank you for everything. One of the best trips I have been on and the kids were just in 'awe' the whole time. They had a blast! Everything went smoothly and I owe a lot to you. All the tips and help paid off and I appreciate the patience with all my emails and your quick responses made it less stressful. The hotels were great and all the food recommendations the family loved, we got on almost every ride we wanted to get on at both Disney and Universal. As the kids did not want to leave, even asking the pilot to take them back when we were leaving. We will definitely be heading back in the near future and I will reach out when we are ready."
"I want to THANK you for SO many things! The trip was absolutely amazing! The Pandora ride was fantastic (we are so happy you recommended it) and the Fast Passes were perfect! Our son took to all the characters like they were long lost friends and came home obsessed with Star Wars! And he is a ride lover (he continues to ask for the tea cup ride to this day)! Thank you SO much for the autograph book and pen, it was a very thoughtful and useful gift! I have been sharing your name and email address with anyone who is planning a trip to Disney, and we are ready to go again! Thank you again Renee, you truly are amazing!"

Frequently asked questions about Renee
- Is Disney Cruise Line really worth the premium?
- For the right family, yes—but it depends on what you value in a cruise. Disney Cruise Line comes at a premium, but you're paying for more than a cruise: exceptional service, beautifully themed ships, Broadway-style entertainment, kids' clubs that children actually want to spend time in, rotational dining, and the Disney details woven throughout the experience. Where I think Disney really shines is for families who want a vacation that feels easy and immersive from the moment they step onboard. And you don't have to be a family of die-hard Disney fans to enjoy it! For my Canadian clients, I also keep a close eye on Canadian Resident Offers when they're available. These promotions can make Disney Cruise Line considerably more accessible, and with the right sailing, I can often find an option that fits your budget while still delivering the Disney magic you're looking for. My job is to help you decide whether the Disney difference is worth the investment for your family—and to find the best sailing and value if it is.
- What makes a Disney cruise to Alaska so special—and is it right for my family?
- Alaska is my favourite place to cruise, and combining it with Disney Cruise Line makes for an incredible family vacation. You're surrounded by glaciers, mountains and wildlife during the day, then return to the comfort, service and entertainment of a Disney ship. I especially love that a Disney Alaska cruise can appeal to multiple generations travelling together. Kids can experience Alaska as an adventure, adults can enjoy the scenery and excursions, and everyone has the familiar Disney experience waiting onboard. But the right ship, itinerary, sailing date, stateroom and excursions can make a big difference. I'll help you decide whether a Disney Alaska cruise is the right fit—and how to make the most of your time both onboard and ashore.
- How do I choose the right Royal Caribbean ship when the ships are so different?
- This is one of the biggest questions I get—and there's no simple answer because Royal Caribbean ships are not one-size-fits-all. The newest and biggest ship isn't necessarily the best ship for you. I look at what matters to your vacation: who is travelling, the age of your children, how much time you want at sea, the onboard activities you actually care about, your preferred itinerary, your stateroom preferences and your budget. Sometimes I'll recommend the newest ship. Sometimes an older ship with a fantastic itinerary is the better choice. The goal isn't to find the best Royal Caribbean ship. It's to find the best Royal Caribbean ship for you!
- How do I know if an eclipse cruise will actually deliver the eclipse experience I'm expecting?
- This is where an eclipse cruise is very different from booking an ordinary vacation. I planned and sailed with my own group on a cruise built around the 2026 solar eclipse, so I experienced firsthand the unique considerations involved in watching an eclipse from a moving ship. Positioning, timing, weather, the ship's planned location, viewing opportunities and—most importantly—the difference between partial obscuration and totality all matter. For the August 2027 total solar eclipse, Royal Caribbean's Mariner of the Seas is planned to sail into the path of totality, with just under five minutes of total darkness - and once again, I'll be there! So don't just ask, “Where will the ship be?” Ask whether the sailing has been planned around the eclipse itself and whether what is being promised matches what you'll actually experience. That's the difference between simply being on a cruise during an eclipse and planning a cruise specifically to experience totality.
- What should I consider before choosing a cruise ship, itinerary or stateroom?
- I always start with you—not the ship. The newest or biggest ship isn't automatically the best choice, and the cheapest stateroom isn't necessarily the best value. First, I look at who is travelling and what you want from the vacation. Are you looking for family activities, relaxation, nightlife, incredible dining, adventure, or a little of everything? How much time will you spend onboard? Those answers can completely change which ship makes sense. Then we look at the itinerary. The number of nights, ports, sea days, departure port, time in each destination and even the time of year can have a big impact on your experience. A 7-night Caribbean cruise and a 7-night Alaska cruise may both be “a week on a ship,” but they are very different vacations. Finally, we choose the stateroom. That's about more than inside versus balcony. I consider your budget, how you'll use the room, who you're travelling with, the views you want, and where the room is located on the ship. I also look carefully at the deck plan—what's above and below you, what's nearby, and whether there are potential noise or accessibility considerations. My goal isn't to find you a cruise. It's to put together the right combination of ship, itinerary and stateroom for the vacation you actually want.
