The 2026 season of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off this Sunday, November 8, at Magic Kingdom, and many of you are going. Here's what I've learned from attending last November, plus the details for this year's party!!

The party at a glance
- Party nights: 25 select nights, November 8 to December 22, 2026
- Party hours: 7:00 pm to midnight
- Early entry: Party guests can enter the Magic Kingdom from 4:00 pm
- Your ticket: The party ticket is all you need. No separate park ticket required
- Included: Cookies, holiday drinks, the parade, fireworks, castle shows and holiday ride overlays
Arriving: skip the 4:00 pm rush
Don't show up right at 4:00 if you don't want to wait in line. Party guests start lining up as early as 3:00 pm to be first through the gates. If you'd rather not stand around, arrive around 4:30 pm, once the initial rush is gone. You still have plenty of time before the party officially starts at 7:00.
- Getting your wristband: Party-only guests pick up their wristband at the Main Gate. If you're already in the park on a daytime ticket, you can get one in Adventureland, Tomorrowland or Fantasyland instead.
- Market Street welcome: After entry, follow the signs on the Main Street double-decker bus to the welcome area for your party ornament. Some characters may be out early.
- Have your ticket ready: Keep it loaded in the My Disney Experience app before you reach security.
- Use the early hours well: 4:00 to 7:00 pm is great for photos on Main Street while the sky is still light, and for rides before the party crowd builds.
Plan your night around the big shows
Pick the parade and fireworks times first, then fit everything else around them. Grab a party map at the entrance or check the My Disney Experience app on the night, since times can shift.
- Frozen Holiday Surprise (7 min): Castle Stage, 6:15 and 8:15 pm
- Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration: Cinderella Castle, 7:40, 9:25, 10:35 and 11:55 pm
- Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks: Over Cinderella Castle, 10:00 pm (one show only)
- Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade: Frontierland to Main Street, 8:30 and 11:00 pm
- Watch the second parade. Many guests leave after the fireworks, so the 11:00 pm parade is much easier for a good Main Street spot. The parade ends with Santa Claus.
- You don't need to be at the castle for fireworks. Main Street and the hub both give a great view. Bring a tissue, it's an emotional one.
- Pick one or two must-meet characters. Lines for party-only characters grow fast, so choose your favourites rather than trying to see everyone.
- Ride during the big shows. Lines usually drop while the fireworks and first parade are on.
- Disney Junior Jingle Jam. Takes place at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café throughout the party.
- Club Tinsel Dance Party. Takes place at Rocket Tower Plaza throughout the party.
Treats, food, characters and rides
- Free treats are part of your ticket. Cookies and holiday drinks are handed out at treat stops around the park, marked on the party map. Look for the giant light-up candy canes. Treats are individually wrapped, and allergy-friendly options were available last year.
- Party food starts at 6:00 pm. Be in line then for party-exclusive snacks. Mobile Order pauses before the party and reopens at 7:00 pm, so eat early or order in person.
- Book table-service dining ahead. Cinderella's Royal Table has a party-only holiday menu and needs a reservation. Be Our Guest serves a holiday menu to party guests from 4:00 pm.
- Characters: Jack Skellington and Sally plus Mickey and Minnie in their holiday outfits are at Town Square Theater. Anna and Elsa are at Princess Fairytale Hall. Santa is at Storybook Circus near Dumbo. Winnie the Pooh and friends are in Fantasyland.
- Holiday ride overlays: Jingle Cruise, Space Mountain with holiday music and lights, the Mad Tea Party, Tomorrowland Speedway, and a seasonal Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor show. Pirates, Big Thunder, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Buzz Lightyear stay open too.
- Party merchandise is sold at the Emporium on Main Street. Shop early or after the first parade.

What to bring and wear
- A light layer. November nights in Orlando can feel cool after a warm day, especially standing still for the parade and fireworks.
- Comfortable shoes. You'll be on your feet from late afternoon until midnight.
- A portable phone charger. Between photos, the app and the party map, your battery will drain fast.
- Festive outfits are welcome. Light-up necklaces, Christmas sweaters and holiday ears all fit right in. Adult costumes are generally not permitted at the Christmas party, so stick to festive clothing.
- A small bag for treats so your hands are free for photos.
Memories from last year's party
These are from my visit to the party last November. Use them as a preview of the photo spots to look for.

One last tip: slow down and soak it in
The best party nights aren't the ones where you check off every ride and character. They're the moments you didn't plan: cocoa in hand as snow falls on Main Street, the hush before the first firework, a kid spotting Santa at the end of the parade. Arrive relaxed, pick a few must-dos, and leave room for the magic to find you.
If a Disney Christmas is on your wish list for next year, now is the time to start planning. Party nights sell out every season, and the best resort and date combinations go first. Merry Christmas, and see you on Main Street!
