About Amy
After our first family trip in 2013, I realized I would never get enough of Disney vacations and became obsessed with reading every Disney travel guidebook and planning future vacations. I decided to change “helping” careers from that of Occupational Therapist to a travel advisor specializing in Disney destinations.
I always wanted to go to Walt Disney World as a child, but it wasn’t feasible. I was elated when my parents took me for Christmas 2000, when I was not quite 25. My parents had their first trip in 1998 and will never forget the extra time the characters took with my visually impaired Dad so that he could “see” the characters by touch. It’s the place where everyone feels included and that means everything to my family.
I was an occupational therapist for 12 years before changing careers in 2014 to pursue my Disney vacation planning dreams. I approach vacation planning like I approached occupational therapy, considering the individual needs and interests of each guest. Many guests who have worked with an OT in the past will comment that my planning tips are written with an OT mindset – planning for energy conservation, as well as physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
I will never forget the first time we brought our girls to Disney at age 3 and almost 6. Everything was magical to them and there is nothing that compares to the first time your kids meet all the Disney characters!
I cannot choose a favourite because it would be like choosing your favourite child! I love all of the Walt Disney World and Disneyland parks, all of the ships, and all of the destinations we’ve visited. We’ve enjoyed staying at every Disney resort and sailing seven Disney ships to destinations around North America, the Caribbean, Northern Europe, and the British Isles. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Disney’s Aulani resort in Oahu as well.
I am a graduate of the College of Disney Knowledge and hold specialist certifications for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, and Sandals & Beaches Resorts.
