So we are officially Disney fanatics. We confirmed this by sneaking in a 'short trip' before school started. It was our 3rd Disney trip in less than a year and if you add in the one we are taking in December...our fourth. We bought Annual Passes on our last trip in May so that may this decision a little easier. Also we MISS Disney...we have been so many times but we still find new things that we haven't done or seen, characters that we have never met, places we haven't eaten at and hotels we haven't stayed at. This trip was no exception. We stayed at the Beach Club Resort in a Club Level room. It was a fabulous hotel..great location (we walked to Epcot several times), an AMAZING pool and just overall a fun place to stay. When we checked in we were treated to a Champagne Strawberry cocktail while a Cast Member took care of checking us in and getting our magic bands. Once we arrived in our room, we found a lovely box of chocolates to welcome us {see picture}. We also found this when we got back at then end of the night...we were celebrating our anniversary and our daughter's "un"Birthday. In our short 4 nights and 5 days, we ate at Raglan Road, Beaches and Cream and Cape May Café all for the first time. We tried to choose new quick service locations as well. It rained some of the days so out came the ponchos...but a sunny point to one of those days was that we used Rider Switch and got to ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror for the first time in 21 years (we rode it the week after it opened!!). What is Rider Switch? Here is what Disney says: If Guests in your party don’t want to board an attraction, you don’t have to miss out. One adult can wait with the non-rider while the rest of the party experiences the attraction. The waiting adult can then board the attraction without having to wait in the regular line again when another adult in the party returns to supervise the child or children who do not ride—either because they do not meet the height requirement or simply do not wish to ride. {see picture} Here is the link for more information: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/rider-switch/ We had even more rain at the Magic Kingdom on our last day. It was pretty cool to ride The Haunted Mansion when it was thundering outside. We kept the ponchos on and trekked around in the puddles only to find Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen just arriving at their indoor meet and greet with NO ONE IN LINE!! How cool..they spent extra time chatting with us. We had some AMAZING PhotoPass photographers too. Maybe because it wasn't too busy but we had one at Epcot in Italy who did a mini photoshoot, another also at Epcot who did some fun pics using our daughter's reflective sunglasses, at Animal Kingdom we have a picture with birds returning from a show in the background and were lucky to get the last day shot with the fireworks going off behind us at the Magic Kingdom.
This was a great trip. We had so much fun in such a short time including spending time at the pool, walking around the Boardwalk and Downtown Disney twice....can't wait until December when we go back home to the "World" again. Lori Wilson Summers - [email protected]
